Privacy policy

Draft placeholder. To be reviewed by Marty (and QTMG) before launch. It covers the basics of Canada’s private-sector privacy law (PIPEDA) in plain English.

The short version

  • We only collect what you choose to tell us.
  • We use it to get back to you about your situation, and for nothing else.
  • This website doesn’t keep what you send, doesn’t use tracking cookies, and doesn’t run analytics or ads.

What we collect

When you use Tell us what happened, you send us your name, how to reach you (phone or email), and what happened in your own words. That can include health information. Only share what you’re comfortable sharing.

If you call, text or email, we get whatever you tell us that way.

Why we collect it

To read what happened, get back to you, and see whether we can help. We don’t sell it, rent it, or use it for marketing.

How it gets to us, and where it’s kept

  • The form sends your message straight to Marty’s email through a secure email service ([EMAIL SERVICE: Resend, Inc.]). The website itself doesn’t store it.
  • That service may handle it on servers outside Canada, including in the United States. [MARTY/QTMG TO CONFIRM wording on cross-border processing.]
  • After that, it’s kept with the firm’s records at Quinn Thiele Mineault Grodzki LLP. [RETENTION: how long the firm keeps enquiries that don’t become files, and how they’re destroyed.]

Cookies and tracking

None. This site doesn’t use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and has no chat widgets or third-party trackers. If that ever changes, we’ll update this page first.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent (subject to legal and professional obligations). Contact our privacy officer below.
